Why We Need More Than Two Genders While the array of gorgeous human skin colors and ethnicities and sexualities is increasingly embraced as a matter of human rights, we are slower to celebrate multiple genders.   I would like to make clear right at the start that breaking out of a male-female gender dichotomy isn't some 21st century liberal-progressive agenda, as it is sometimes painted.  Spending some time with this interactive map shows that fluidity in gender roles is and has been evident in societies around the world. Back on the Blog Wagon!

This experience in the east coast has been a trip. Literally and figuratively. I'm a UGSP research fellow at the National Institutes of Health, where I'm receiving training and experience and mentorship galore . And I've been insanely busy with graduate school applications and research, research, research! But finally, at long last, I have the bulk of my graduate school applications submitted and I'm determined to get back in to the crickity blogging wagon. In a nutshell, all of this is happening so fast and I have a lot that I want to share. Unfortunately, I'm nervous about what and how to share my experiences without violating any of the million + 2 forms I signed about my position as a government employee. In future posts, I will do my best to express my experiences, but to make it very clear that I'm not doing so as a government representative. And I'll also go crazy in August 2014 when I'm no longer a government employee - but in the meantime, I
