Drain Tube Removal

Dr. Cori Agarwal removing my drain tubes earlier today - which is 6 days after my double incision mastectomy with nipple/areolar grafting. It was essentially painless and just felt like a brief pinch.

Surgery tomorrow!

Vlog about my trip in Berkeley and my excitement for surgery tomorrow!

Self-Injection Vid

Just woke up about 30 minutes ago and decided to make a video of my morning injection. And NOW I’ll make coffee! And give the cats their morning wet food fix, too. Correction, btw! I said 1.6 mL as the amount I inject in the video due to morning brain not working quite right - it’s actually 0.6 mL every 2 weeks.

Viddy Documentation: 1 Year

And a little video, to boot. Be forewarned, puppies make appearances. p.s. This is more fun compared to the video I made 1 year ago. On the right of this blog there's a little section called " Labels ". Click on " Video Documentation " and scroll down to the 1st one, from January 18th !

Zionized 15: Transgender Awareness Month

This is embarrassing. About two weeks ago a friend of mine at City Weekly referred me to someone who wanted to interview me for  Transgender Awareness Month . Even though I'm actually very shy about this sort of thing, I agreed to it. Instead of doing the interview somewhere with just the two of us, I requested that we do it at the Utah Pride Center so he could potentially interview some other trans-identified people. I didn't feel comfortable about the idea of being a representative of other trans people. I also hoped that I would appear for about 1.4 seconds and other people could fill up the remainder. I'd be a blurb. Get in, get out. Part done, stage fright averted. But that's not how reality panned out. As my awkward and rare video documentations have proven, there's something about a camera 2" from my face that instantly liquefies my mind and transforms me into a terrified, monotone robot. No humor. Only terror. Absolute, sheer sweat and redness. ...

Viddy Documentation: 203 Days 'ish

That orange background is just wrong. My apologies for the pained orange'ness of it all. Never again! In other news: White House not appealing transgender ruling WASHINGTON - The Obama administration is not fighting a nearly $500,000 judgment for a Library of Congress hiree who lost the job while undergoing a gender change from a man to a woman. Viddy Documentation: 90 Days

Alright, so here's a little bit o' strained viddy action from March 10th, marking day 90 of my transition !

Viddy Documentation: 67 Days

Here is another awkward viddy documentation of my voice change. There's a bit o' difference! In other news, yesterday was my brother's birthday. Aww, a little Valentine baby ! It was oodles of aging fun. Most of it was spent with my mom, dad, brother, and his girlfriend. Speaking of family and spending time together, I have numerous traumatizing memories of scratching my dad's pimply back. Zits popping, pus and blood under my fingernails. My brother also developed backne and my mom would pop his back pimples and put medicine on them. Me, on the other hand - I've never had a back pimple . Yet, last night, there I was, head in my mom's lap while she popped my backne. Gah, seriously. The shame. I really shouldn't share this kind of flattering information. I'm becoming more of an irresistible Casanova every day. Ahem, moving on, later in the evening we went to see a picture show that lacked a single uplifting moment - ' Revolutionary Road '...

Viddy Documentation: 39 Days

If blogging is out of my element, photo documentation is even further out in the element ball park. What's on an another planet altogether is video documentation. Still, here's the thang. My voice just started cracking a couple of weeks ago and I want to catch it while it's high pitch central and to be able to look back on that change later down the road. Since the thickening of my vocal chords will be very gradual, I'm going to record my voice every so often to document that change. Here goes!
